We booked our 7day tour from GZD Tours. Sharmila made sure we get a meticulous planned package covering all important places. She provided us good hotels(& guide) at a reasonable price.
...
Right from our pickup at Bagdogra airport to our drop-off at the end of the trip, was done seamlessly.
Jampa Dubjur (JD) was our tour guide in this trip and Haapa Dorji was the driver accompanying us. They were kind, knowledgeable and very accommodating. They made sure we had a good time during the long drives!
Following hotels were provided to us :
1. Phuentsholling : Hotel Legphel -> 2km away from the main town. The rooms were excellent, hygienic and food was pretty good too!
2. Thimphu : Hotel Takhtsang -> Located at the centre of the city, but the room was decent, however the food was good!
3. Punakha : Hotel Khurukhuru -> Located at the centre of the city. The rooms were great, hygienic and food was pretty good too!
4. Phobjika : Hotel Odiyana -> This hotel has a great view of the Phobjika valley. However, the room was pretty average. The food was pretty good(however, despite booking for a breakfast in advance. IT was over way early.)
5. Paro : Hotel Ratna Vara -> Located at the centre of the city, The rooms were excellent, hygienic and food was pretty good too!
I had always heard that Bhutanese are very deep rooted to their culture and pretty genuine in keeping their tourist happy. JD, Dorji and Sharmila proved that it was true.
If you’re planning for a trip to Bhutan, I would highly recommend to go with Green Zone Destination Tours!
Tiger Nest hike and Hot Stone bath after a grueling hike was the best experience!

My recent trip to Bhutan arranged by Red Robes Destination. It was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the country’s serene beauty and the genuine warmth of...
its people. The landscapes looked like they belonged in a painting. Lush valleys, snow capped peaks, and ancient monasteries perched dramatically on cliffs.
One of the highlights was visiting the iconic Tiger’s Nest Monastery. The hike itself was inspiring, offering breathtaking views along the way, and the peaceful atmosphere at the top made the effort completely worthwhile. Bhutan’s devotion to preserving its culture and environment was evident everywhere. From traditional architecture to the pristine surroundings untouched by mass tourism.
The hospitality was exceptional. Whether at hotels, homestays, or local cafes, everyone I met was incredibly kind and eager to share the essence of Bhutanese life. The food was delicious too, especially the locally grown produce and comforting dishes like ema datshi.
What truly set Bhutan apart was the sense of calm and authenticity. It’s a place where you can genuinely unplug, breathe deeply, and feel connected to both nature and culture. The emphasis on Gross National Happiness isn’t just a slogan, it’s something you feel throughout the journey.
Overall, my trip to Bhutan was enriching, peaceful, and memorable, an experience I would highly recommend to anyone seeking beauty, culture, and a refreshing shift in perspective.

I recently returned from my Bhutan trip, and I would like to share my genuine appreciation for the wonderful experience.
Our package covered Phuentsholing, Thimphu, Paro, and Punakha, and throug...
hout the entire journey everything was incredibly well arranged. A special shout-out to Trip Trova and the entire team — Nitesh, Tashi, Guruji, and Karma — for making our trip smooth, happy, and truly memorable.
Whether we were out of cash, wanted to try authentic Bhutanese food, shop at reasonable prices, or simply needed privacy to explore, every request was handled patiently and respectfully. We always felt supported without feeling restricted.
A very special mention to Guruji and Tashi for prioritizing our health and comfort. Considering how challenging the roads can be in some parts of Bhutan, we feel extremely lucky to have had Guruji as our driver. He was caring, experienced, and looked after us like an elder, without ever getting into our personal space.
Thank you once again for a beautiful experience and for going above and beyond to make our trip memorable.

It was a choice between Srilanka and Bhutan, and accidentally we finalised Bhutan and I don’t regret my decision.
When we met Old monk’s owner Mr Yadob the very first time , I felt some spark ...
in his persona. And that was the first and last impression of him. From Immigration formalities to history and so on, Mr. Yadob showed his true personality. He took care of our safety and health over there as i was on solo trip with my daughter . He used to tell stories to my daughter and reached to hospital when my daughter started mountain sickness. Mr Yadob is beyond professional, knowledgeable, photographer, presentable, and above all he is caring mankind which is very important in his profession which is rare to see.
I recommend him above all tour operator as first choice.
Keep rocking Mr. Yadob

Highly recommended. We had an exceptional experience with Bhutan Old Monk & Trek right from planning the trip, choosing comfortable hotels, deciding right tourist places and planning every day. S...
pecial credit to Yadopji for his special presence throughout the trip. He is an amazing guide, leader who mange any kind of group. We had 11 members in a group from 10 years old upto 76 years old. Yadopji managed to keep everyone expectations. We also appreciate driver Kille, who was driving the bus very well. None of the members faced motion sickness inspite of history. Yadopji is very kind humble and very knowledgeable about Bhutan history and culture. We could understand the values of Bhutanese people very well and planning to adopt few values. I highly recommend to plan your trip with Old Monk if you wish to have memorable happy experience. Thank you Bhutan Old monk team for your great efforts to make our trip memorable.

I found Yadop well in advance of this trip, and he informed me in detail about what we should expect and how many days would be ideal for Bhutan. Initially, we were considering 2 days, but we the...
n extended it to 4 days. He also processed our visas smoothly for us. Our experience with Yadop during those four days was excellent. He is friendly, speaks very good English, and is also very knowledgeable and open to answering our questions. He was always punctual, and the driver was very careful. Given that Bhutan is a mountainous country and we travelled from Paro to Thimphu and then to another city, having a good driver is essential. Otherwise, the trip could have turned into a rather unpleasant experience. His car is also comfortable and new.

starting from our first call, the approach of Mr. Yadop(CEO of Old Monk Travels) was extraordinarily helpful. He has provided basic information, cleared our queries, assisted us in customizing th...
e plan and also made necessary arrangements well in advance.
The itinerary was planned in such a way that there was no time waste but we had sufficient time to spend at all places with scenic views - ensuring everyone's comfort in the best possible way and making this trip a memorable experience forever.
Good accommodation locale with proper blend of sightseeing, excursion, rafting, Tiger Nest trek this package fits perfectly in every aspect and Yadopji helped us throughout this journey.
Mr. Yadop is incredibly accommodating and had thorough knowledge of all the places we visited. We were very well introduced to the culture & traditions of Bhutan.
If you wish to explore the beauty in nature, amazing culture, simplicity in people, food and lifestyle then Bhutan is the go to place.
Thanks to Killey, our vehicle driver for very safe driving throughout the journey. Killey is very responsible, punctual and cordial.
Our entire group enjoyed the trip very much. The Tiger's nest trek is the most cherished memory of our group.
Thank you so much! Really nice and memorable tour of Bhutan.
I shall definitely recommend my friends and relatives to tour with Old Monk Travels.

Our family made the plan to travel to Bhutan within a very short span. This was really a burden as everything had to be arranged within a very short span right from permits to hotels. My friend s...
uggested me to contact Mr.Yadof of Bhutan Old Monk Tours and Trek. As I started to converse with Mr Yadof he really took the whole burden off my shoulders and everything began to fall in place.
As we stepped into Bhutan we were really eased off as everything was very well managed right from permits, guide, hotels everything that too within a very short span.
The hotels that had been booked by Mr Yadof were really good and very much congenial. They took meticulous care as to see that everything was smooth.
There was one instance where my father fell ill. He was totally guided by the hotel management and they even took my father to the hospital where my father was catered to by the Doctor as he was in dire need of one.
I would really recommend Bhutan Old Tours and Trek for everyone who would be looking forward to visit Bhutan.
Thank you Mr Yadof for organizing such a well managed trip within such a short span. It really speaks about your willingness to go that extra mile when it comes to promoting Bhutan tourism.

Travel agent were available whenever needed and helped with cash in emergency situation, cab driver - Kinley was so good through out , and the tour guide Dechen the best of all was like a family ...
and took care of my child so well. I am a bit disappointed with the itinerary as the charge was based on that. On most of the days we couldn't even cover half the places mentioned in the itinerary and they didnt even advise me about Saturday and Sunday holidays in the places on my itinerary. Basis the places covered in 4 Days , I feel it was a bit pricey .
Rest I have no complaints.
